Sugi Yoga ® is a combination of Hatha Yoga and Feldenkrais. It is based on traditional yoga asana in combination with gentle movement and exploration of postures. Sugi Fitness™, developed by Ofer Erez, is a unique program of exercises done in a timed sequence. This program produces swift results, toning and strengthening the body with no threat of injury. Students are taught that “the essence of progress rests in the ability to accomplish increasingly more complex and demanding tasks with greater ease.” All levels of fitness can participate.
Meditation with Charlie Swank

Many times certain pattern in our lives repeat themselves over and over. This is the brain’s way of working through unfinished business. Meditation is the answer to unfinished business and much more.
Charlie Swank has been studying meditation for over 43 years. He teaches Zen meditation. It is a combination of Japanese and Korean meditation techniques.
“A Course in Miracles” with Amy Erez
Thursdays 7:00-8:00 pm
A Course in Miracles is a spiritual practice that provides practical tools for attaining peace of mind. As you study this material you will find that you are able to be more fully present in life. Pain from the past will begin to fade away. Fear of the future will diminish. Life will flow more smoothly as you apply these concepts to everyday challenges.
This ongoing class offers support with like-minded people who want to overcome old patterns of limited thinking to create a new way of being in their relationships. Join us for an evening of inspiration each week!
Amy Erez has been a practitioner of A Course in Miracles for over twenty years. Much of her inspiration for workshops and the wisdom she offers in her private sessions comes from her experience with this life-changing course. To kids, we’re fun, fun, fun!!!!! To parents, it is the answer to helping your children stay physically fit and deal more effectively with the pressures of school and peers. This amazingly fun and effective yoga program combines traditional yoga postures with imaginative yoga games and relaxation techniques. The whole family will laugh, learn, exercise, breath and relax. Ultra Yoga! A longer yoga class that allows the students and teacher to delve deeper into the asanas (postures), pranayama(breathing) and meditation. This a great way to deepen and advance your yoga practice. All this is done in the safe, healthy, comfortable “Sugi Way”.
Chi Gong (Chi Kung or Qi Gong ) with Martha

Chi Kung has a beneficial effect on the health and harmony of both the mind and body. The practice of Chi Gong relieves stress, improves balance, increases mobility, and promotes increased vitality. Chi Gong is a series of slow, gentle movements, natural breathing, self-massage and mental focus. You can do it standing, sitting or lying down and it is appropriate for all ages and fitness levels. It is very gentle and easy to learn. Come learn about and experience this delightful form of movement. Please wear comfortable clothing. Please bring “indoor-only” shoes. Classes taught by Martha. Martha has been practicing Chi Gong since 1994 and teaches in the East Bay.
Cost is $66 for the six week series or $15 drop-in. Lunar Cards will be honored ($60 for 4 weeks of unlimited movement classes).

Have you always wanted to try yoga, but are reluctant to join a class because you don’t know the first thing about it? This is your chance to join a class with ‘first-timers’ like yourself and learn from the beginning. Learn the basic principles of yoga and relaxation; the difference between Sugi Yoga® and other styles of yoga. Work on learning basic poses and how to do them in a safe and a effective manner. Learn about breathing, meditating and how to bring all the benefits of yoga into your everyday life. After this 5 week series you will be comfortable joining into a regular yoga class!
